Yes. Slow WordPress is usually plugin bloat, unoptimised images, and cheap hosting, in that order. A compromised site needs cleanup, hardening, and a look at how it got in — often an outdated plugin. We'll tell you upfront if the site is too far gone to be worth cleaning.
