CASE STUDY · PLUMBING HVAC
FlameTech Plumbing & HVAC
Challenge
The challenge
FlameTech's old web presence was dated and didn't match the quality of their work.
Most of their leads come in under emergency pressure — a burst pipe at 11pm, a furnace that quit on a -20°C morning. The existing site made prospects hunt for the phone number, didn't work cleanly on mobile, and gave no quick indication of service areas. For someone in a hurry, that friction is enough to try the next result instead.
Approach
The approach
We built the new FlameTech site around one behavior: a customer in urgent need, on their phone, scanning for a quick way to make contact.
Every decision flowed from that. Click-to-call pinned above the fold. Service areas and trust signals (licensing, insurance, reviews) visible immediately. A mobile-first layout that loads fast on rural Calgary data and doesn't force the user through a slow hero animation before they can act.
Service pages were structured to match how customers actually search — by problem ("no hot water," "drain backup") and by service type (residential plumbing, HVAC install). Photography and real team presence give the site legitimacy without leaning on stock imagery.
Deliverables
What we built
- Custom multi-page website (homepage + service pages + service areas)
- Mobile-first responsive design
- Click-to-call CTAs on every page
- Emergency service flows
- Service-area landing pages
- Photo-forward design showcasing real trucks and techs
- On-page SEO foundation
- Google Business Profile integration
Outcome
The outcome
FlameTech now has a web presence that matches the professionalism of their field team. Prospects can see at a glance what service areas are covered, what emergency support looks like, and how to get in touch in under two taps.
The site launched with a strong SEO foundation — fast load times, local schema, and clean URL structure — giving their local rankings room to compound over the months following launch.
